By using Use Boring services, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Boring HR, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

Boring HR provides online HR administration tools for small businesses, including employee directory management, PTO tracking, certification monitoring, document generators, and related features.

The service is provided as an informational and administrative tool. While we strive for accuracy, the tools and templates are not a substitute for professional legal, tax, or HR compliance advice. You should consult qualified professionals for specific HR and employment law questions.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account and to keep it up to date.

4. Free Tools and Resources

Boring HR offers free tools (document generators, calculators) and free resource articles. These are provided at no cost and may be used without creating an account.

Free tools generate content locally in your browser. We do not store the documents you create with our free generators.

We reserve the right to modify, limit, or discontinue free features at any time.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Upload or store data that you do not have the right to use or share
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or its related systems
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the service beyond normal use
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or the servers and networks connected to it
  • Resell, redistribute, or white-label the service without written permission

6. Payment Terms

Paid features are billed on a monthly subscription basis at a flat rate. Prices are listed on the product pages and may change with 30 days notice.

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us if you believe you were charged in error.

7. Data and Content Disclaimers

Templates, calculators, and resource articles provided by Boring HR are for informational purposes only. They are not legal advice and should not be relied upon as such.

HR laws and regulations vary by jurisdiction. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of our tools and templates complies with the laws applicable to your business and location.

We make reasonable efforts to keep our content accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that any template or tool output is complete, current, or suitable for your specific situation.

8. Service Availability

We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime in advance.

9. Intellectual Property

The service, including its design, code, branding, and original content, is owned by Boring Tools and protected by intellectual property laws.

HR data and documents you create using the service remain your property. We claim no ownership over the content you generate or upload.

Templates and resource articles may be used for your internal business purposes but may not be republished, resold, or redistributed without written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

Our service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to lost data, lost profits, business interruption, or any consequences of relying on generated documents or templates without independent legal review.

11. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time. Paid subscriptions remain active until the end of the current billing period. Upon cancellation, your data will be retained for 30 days and then permanently deleted.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.

12. General Provisions

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Boring Tools regarding your use of Boring HR.
